#36 New Kind of Armor: elemental body
parts
What if instead of a regular armor you could have an aura of fire or golem prosthesis (Its is possible after all the asura can even perform extreme makeovers), maybe a Destroyer armor instead of Destroyer Gaunlets, elementals could be actually made of elements what should increase the element's attribute and tolerance, or decrease the energy req of some skills (like with the elemental attunement skills in the first Guild Wars) or have some effect in your skills or attacks.

this way they would become some sort of parasites inside of flesh golem zombies.

why not?
imagine your elemental characters for example, with a body made of water, stone, fire//lava or air... (similar to the asuran shadows from Prophecies)
Those would be a new kind of armor, a change from regular armors and scar patterns.
I just said it would be cool if they could create a minion-like armor around them with huge claws or legs and Wings maybe. . .
the idea was to fight with the minion 4 a change instead of calling the target and let them go...
what would be better: to have control of them or to just to create and take care of them?
what if you could have minion skills that make them do stuff like: grow, transform, split in two, fuse them or jump on the foe
there r already some armors in GW 1 that make the necros look like they r wearing minions (the armors even have eyes on them)
WOOT imagine a huge minion-like golem armor eating one of your PvP party members' body and then as a result of that, the monster starts growing taller and more spikes come out of the creature... right in your face!
Destroyer armor is an idea, as well as chaos armor (though I think they would have to make it not-quite-so ridiculously white, maybe a semi-tangible skin underneath it). Elemental armors are a good idea. Flaming armor would look... on fire, air would flow around the wearer as would water (or it could resemble glacial gloves), earth would be like stone armor.
Another idea is bonemail. Oversized skulls for shoulder and helm with laced bone everywhere else.
I saw somewhere the idea of the chronomancer armor, which would follow similar lines.
The problem I see with some extreme armors is that if they are readily available, and too many people have them then it can become visually overwhelming very quickly. Imagine ten players in chaos armor of flaming armor in you screen at once. It'll be hard to see anything else. If they're extremely hard to acquire, like FOW armor, then it might not be too bad, but even then, playing a character in chaos armor could get annoying very quickly.
Then again, these could also be used as spell effects. Conjure Flame Armor could cause fire damage to attackers while creating the visual effect of the flaming armor, making it a lot more tolerable visually. Conjure Air Armor could cause KD to attackers, etc..
you are right maybe this chaos armor could have shiny spots only and the fire armor could burn in specific situations but I think this idea is good
maybe they dont even need to have the same kind of elemental//Chaos armor design.
There should be more than one design after all one could shine in the dark, others in presence of Evil beings, and anothers could burn in the battle only.
