Answer for: Guild Wars 2 Trailer Released! Your thoughts?
#7 Guns? no bullets please.
I am awed about the Trailer. Many hopes and dreams are made visual. The big worry in my opinion is the gun art that is floating around on forums.
There are enough guns in the real world. I hope that it will be Plasma guns...blasting around energy surges and not bullets.

I think it is most likely plasma or energy guns. They'd probably shoot a beam or maybe a little laser projectile.
Well from the artwork on the website it looks like the charr are going to have some sort of bazooka thingy
Yes well they would probably shoot one of those charr explosives or something.
Yes, guns?! I've heard that they will be primitive type guns, like muskets or flintlocks. Check out this suggestion thread:

I'm sure Anet will have more than a few creative takes on guns.
I've always been against guns in feudal combat games, it doesn't matter if the Asura made them or not, it is just a tool that anyone can use to upset the power of combat skill in battle. But it's suppose to be hundreds of years in the future, and if cannons were around in GW1 than it's no surprise that guns would be around in GW2. Hopefully they just do a good job.
That's right, eat it BK! You know I was so right! Anyway, from the pictures of what took like elemental bullets, I think Anet at least considered including ammo in some form. Perhaps they havn't decided on it yet. I'd insist on no ammo limitations if I had a say in the mater, but also, considering the level of technology in the GW universe, I don't think the integrated cartridge could have been invented, though these guns do seem to be breech loaded. There were breech loaders before cartridges, but they were kind of messy. Maybe Anet is counting on players to be as ill informed on military history as, well, most of them are. Of course, if I'm willing to accept breathing underwater, bows without quivers, and infinite ammo, why not Renaissance age cartridges? On the other hand, firing magic orbs would make a lot more sense. Why is it magic orbs seem to solve everything?
If they want to make it realistic they can include ammo, after all, what kind of weaknesses and realism are they going to keep? A functional system can be made for all projectile weapons.
P.S. guns still suck.
