#38 Account Based Game Play

Nothing is more irritating than exploring vast amounts of land and beating entire campaigns with one character only to have to repeat every single step with another one.
We share storage, Balthazar Faction Points, and certain titles why not the map and certain aspects of the game. There would definitely be some parts of the game that could not cross over to all characters (starter areas associated with different races for example) but the player could save huge amounts of time actually enjoying the game content with any character rather than repeating the same missions, quest, and re-exploring the same areas.
If GW is the "anti-grind" game and wants to appeal to players that don't have a ton of time this would be a way to stream line content to them

This x1000.
Probably the most annoying thing in guild wars (before Elite Tomes came along) was having to play through an entire campaign just to get 1 skill. Or as you stated, just to get a character to a specific spot where my friends were.

It would make the game feel a lot shorter, but if I want to play the very last bit of the game with an elementalist instead of a warrior I would much rather be able to just bring in an ele. Having to still buy armor, weapons, & skills would limit players abilities to just switch on the fly.

I concur. I have been having trouble working with my new characters lately.

I like this. An alternative or concurrent solution could be to allow characters to change professions which essentially would allow players to be more invested in their character. This would not solve the issue for players who preferred multiple characters, so expanding shared accomplishments among characters would be great too.
