#1 I hope we don't lose the feeling
of specialization

If all classes can do "everything", I worry that it starts to feel like we're simply choosing costumes. The one thing I like about the "traditional" class system is that many of the classes have unique abilities that are REQUIRED for team success in certain missions, eg, tanking, healing, and interrupting.

I agree that this is a bit of a worry. Looking at e.g. the warrior design in GW2, there are so many capabilities: DPS (chains etc), AOE, bufs (standards) and healing abilities that one wonders just what the unrevealed classes might do differently.

I suppose one might argue that in other MMOs, you really only have healers and tanks as necessary roles and everyone else is pretty much interchangeable. Ideally one would be able to create different types of team where each class has a defined role in the overall team.

hmmm sceptic about where the game will go? The unique system of Guild Wars was that all the classes had unique abilities and all together combined a powerful group for PvE and every class could stand fairly equal in PvP.

It has been a trap the combat system for many MMO's in which you are Tank and Tank and Tank or Monk - Monk - Monk and all the other classes are useless.

In this point is Guild Wars Unique with a great combat system right now but in the next generation I fear the traps of the combat system that other MMO uses.

So perhaps I am more classic with Guild Wars and be afraid of changes which are making a total new Game.

I definitely agree with Sersun and crossing my fingers not to be spoiled the game.

Yes, because of the move from an entirely instanced world, with a guaranteed party size to a largely persistent world, GW2 will really bear no relation to GW1 at all in terms of combat mechanics and team building. So GW2 certainly won't have many of the things that some of us liked in GW1. Whether, ANet can succeed in making the game at least as good, by other means remains to be seen.

i must agree with this.

Guildwars 2 has gameplay based nothing in common with Guildwars 1,
i loved/love/always will love Guildwars,

i'd rather have them make Guildwars 2 rather than a game based on the lore of Guildwars named Guildwars 2, but gameplay related is far from it.

GW1 is a co-op RPG, i get the feeling GW2 will have less co-op gameplay.
It's like i don 't need to care for my 'team', as everyone is self sufficient.

GW1 featured harcore game elements accecible to casuals
GW2 seems just to feature casual gameplay
