Weapons in guild wars 2 will probably have different stat ranges so it might now work if you could just use the weapon or armor. If the skin could be used then that might work.

I am 100% against having old titles being able to be displayed because it would give all the high ranked pvp players a reason not to play with the players who would like to get into it in gw2.

One that would be ok is some reward for the number of titles maxed as long as it doesn't tell which titles were earned.

Also if they give us all the max stat goodies, titles etc that we have worked for in GW1 then we have less incentive to play GW2. They have to start from a clean slate in respect of these things.
