This is off-topic, but how old is that screen-shot, I don't recognize most of the user-interface details, but maybe I just don't remember the old styles used?

No, that's definatley post searing ascalon, it actully looks like a screen from The Northern Wall mission. What I'm interested in is teh interface, how it has that almost wooden details around it, they seem familiar, I just wanted to know how old the pic was. If it indeed was a pic form teh beta or GW2, i'm sur eit'd be everywhere on the internet, and we'd probably have recieved more info along with it.

I remember it looking like that when Guild wars was first released, then some time before factions they continuously updated the interface so you may have not noticed a sudden change. There might be some references in guild wars "Home > Support > Game Updates" on the main site.

in regards to the original post, to be back on topic, they claim there will be a very short beta, if any, and not until very close to the release of the game.

In my opinion, GW2 is not going to be released before 2011, since it looks like all development has stopped and NCSoft and Anet are waiting to see how Aion is going to do on the West half of the globe. My guess is that they intend to reuse the graphics engine from Aion for GW2, and want some mass feedback on it.

GW2 is a dead fish most likely.... sucks, but probably true.
