Hi, I'm submitting a formal complaint and suggestion to fixing HA. This isn't about removing rank discrimination. There's no way a team of r10+ will randomly accept new players. However, there is currently no way to even get r10+ if you aren't already. I've sat in HA international district 1 for 2 weeks. There are two types of groups that form: Rank groups and pugs. The rank groups all have a quota for accepting members, however they do win regularly when they enter their matches. One pug forms about once every 2 or 3 hours that accepts everyone no matter what their rank is. However, even when they enter, all their opponents are ranked groups making their chances of victory incredibly slim, thereby making fame acquisition incredibly hard. Here are the gathered suggestions:
"Non ranked people need to get together with other non ranked people and get better together. When the people who are high rank now started, they started with people on their on skill level."
-This suggestion makes sense at first, but we have to understand that when the current high ranked people started, there were many other non ranked people to fight. At this moment, every opponent by pugs are high ranked teams. If they only fought high ranked teams when they were new to the arenas, they'd never have gotten much fame.
"Make every other match before the Hall of Heroes vs an AI team like the zaishen arenas."
-This is a debatable topic since HA is a pvp arena. However, this would allow non ranked teams to gain at least 1 fame throughout the day. It would not affect the higher ranked players significantly because 1-4 fame is very small to them.
"Increase population of HA so that more lower rank groups form"
-I have no idea how this would be accomplished as more rewards in HA would only lead to giving the high ranked teams more things instead of spurring people towards trying HA. Any suggestions are welcome.
"Get high ranked in gladiator so that HA teams will allow you to join."
-This is the only way for someone that isn't ranked to be successful in HA. However, how much sense does this make? In order to try one arena, you must play a different arena for 6-10 months? That's akin to saying people aren't allowed to hero battle unless they've beaten everything in pve hard mode.
Summary: Rank discrimination has created HA to be only an exclusive club of people. This title track is now akin to giving title points for winning guild scrimmages in one select guild. Rank discrimination cannot be removed, however things may be put in place to increase accessibility of this arena to less experienced players.
