To level or not to level, that is *the* question Discussion

Add an Answer

How should Anet handle levels?

- How long should it take to reach max level assuming you play for 4 hours a day?

- Should they continue to have faction levelling for special PvE skills such as in GWEN?

- Should there be any kind of PvP levelling (or cosmetic levelling)?

- Should it be possible for high level and low level players to play together and how would this be done?

- How might it be possible for Anet to reuse low level content for higher level players (e.g. hard mode)?

TBH I don't have a really good soultion to these questions. All approaches seem to be bad in some way or other :)

6 Months to Level 60

It takes 6 months to get to level 60 if you play for 4 hours a day. After level 60 there might be further levels, but they would be mainly cosmetic, so that you would be able to unlock new armor etc. at higher levels. Endgame content would be level 60.

Not sure how to enable friends of different levels to play together? Haven't seen an appealing way that "companions" might work.

I like the low level cap but make it harder to get to?
